Angelo Taylor cruises to a second place finish behind Javier Culson, advancing to the semi-finals. See Taylor: gold shoes, shades, arms extended, and ready to fly over every hurdle, right past the competition. The semi-finals will be run on Day 4 (8/30) in the afternoon session of the meet.

Taylor running in 400m Hurdles – Heat 3 on Day 3 of competition was assigned Lane 2. The gun sounded the start of the race; Taylor got off to his customary quick start and was over the first hurdle before any of the other competitors. ![]()

By the third hurdle, Taylor and Javier Culson (Puerto Rico) had almost made up the stagger on the outside runners and were clearly ahead of the pack. Taylor ran a good tactical race; got out fast, held his speed and form down the stretch, and cruised to the finish line. Taylor should be concerned with taking his foot off the gas too soon; several competitors were closing fast at the tape. Nevertheless Taylor moves on to the semi-finals. ![]()
